National Day of Prayer

Father, I am grateful to live in a nation that has the freedom to turn to You in prayer whenever the need or want hits. Father, the need is great. There are so many affected by the hurricane, as well as, the fires that are going on in Washington, Montana, and California, among others that I do not even know about. Please protect the individuals in the paths of these fires. I pray that our nation comes together for them just as we have come together for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Lord, I ask that You continue to bring peace and comfort and hope to the lives affected by Hurricane Harvey. I ask for Your hand of protection upon our country. I pray that You will convict Your children to be fervent in their prayers for our nation and its leaders. May we live unashamed of You. May the nation see Your love shining through us.

Let us always remember to turn to God in prayer, daily. This is our privilege in Christ, to boldly approach the throne of grace. (Hebrews 4:16)
